Markets Update: What We’re Watching | March 13, 2020

March 2020

As a follow-up to the observations posted on March 1, 2020, we wanted to provide a recent update on the data we are seeing in the markets. Since then, the markets have dropped about 15%, there was an emergency Fed rate cut, and various flavors of quantitative easing have been released around the globe. As such, we’ve published a new set of What We’re Watching charts and related commentary.

It remains our goal that this material will help put some of the emotion and fear in perspective, without ignoring the realities of the sentiments that drive markets (up or down). Only the benefit of hindsight will make things clear, but we’ll keep monitoring the data and welcome your feedback at any time.
