September 2021
So far, 2021 has been another year of oddities. We have all seen “Help Wanted” signs decorating store windows while the unemployment rate bumps along between 5-6%. Prices of almost everything are on the rise – and sharply so in some spots. We have heard about houses selling for $100k over asking price a week before the home is listed, and used cars selling for the same price as new ones. Let us not forget about the stock market which seems to set a record high almost every week in a remarkably steady fashion. Quite odd indeed.
In our latest analysis, we present “An Update on the U.S. Economy” which explores a few theories that give some context to these oddities. Take them for what they are worth. (Hopefully, it is at least 2 cents.)
